John Leonzo currently serves as the associate head coach for the women's basketball team at Wright State University.

Leonzo joined the Raiders in June 2021 after five seasons as an assistant coach at Cedarville University. He was involved in all facets of the Yellow Jacket program, including developing the offensive system, recruiting, player development, and scouting. While at Cedarville, Leonzo helped the Yellow Jackets win 3 conference championships and had players named to the all-conference team 14 times. 

 

In the 2020-21 season Leonzo was selected as a WBCA Thirty Under 30 Honoree. The Thirty Under 30 program recognizes 30 up-and-coming women's basketball coaches age 30 and under at all levels of the game. Honoree's were noted for their involvement in community service, mentorship and impact on others, professional manner, and attitude and professional association involvement.
